Hey guys i just changes my valve covers and i have a cobra upper intake mani and its hitting the right breather,my question is can i run two phenolic spacers power loss or gains ? I already have one and it wont clear. I wanter to shave the coner of the intake manifold down where its hitting but cant tell the thickness.

I am currently running two 3/8" spacers on my engine due to intake/valve cover clearance issues. A single one inch I think would have been too tall and would have hit the hood. No problems running it yet. Power gain or loss I have no idea, but I'm sure it would be minimal if at all.

I take it you've got an aftermarket hood?

The only issue I see with 2 is eventually having to worry about more gaskets leaking vacuum. Otherwise, not sure if the spacer removes a lot of HP? My cousin is convinced his 1" spacer on his stock 302 (E303 + GT40 intake) gives him 20hp...

Are you still running the stock PCV valve in the rear of the lower intake? If so the breathers are hurting you, block both of the breather holes in the valve covers or run a closed breather on the passenger side and use that as your oil fill, block the driverside. Run one spacer only if you need it, adding a lot of additonal runner length to the Cobra is not really ideal or needed.
BOSS351...20hp hell see some gain but lowering the heat transfer which they do well, but 20hp would be a HUUUUGE stretch....more like 5-7hp.

You're going to hate those stamped steel valve covers after a few thousand miles when your header flanges are covered in oil. My AFM ones were the worst! But I probably just overtightened the bolts and warped the mounting flanges

Yeah, he's got some ricettitude for sure. Tells me electric fans = 15hp, underdrive = 15hp, spacer = 20hp, E303 cam = 30hp, plus other things... Basically he has a 400hp 95 Stang, that runs mid 14's on a good day.

He congratulated me on buying electric fans this year for my ride. I didn't do it for "power" I did it to clean up the engine bay. He has no idea why I got a QuarterHorse or larger injectors though... LOL

Son of a bitch, does that mean the flame stickers I bought aren't worth 4 hp each????
