thanks for the input, all mentioned and more are done:

Have custom Be Cool Alum. Rad. , crossflow, entire core fits, core support hole.

Have 3300cfm electric puller fan, installed properly

Running 18lbs. Rad. cap

Running Water Wetter with straight distilled water

High performance Waterpump (Stewart Components)

Blueprinted 160* thermostat (Stewart Components)

Running big oil cooler, 10qt oil capacity

I dont like header wraps, I've heard they make your headers prone to cracking. I do have ceramic coated headers.

I have a few other avenues to check, taking it to dyno soon. Get the air/fuel dialed in perfectly, timing and proper heat range for plugs. I will also try a non drilled (blueprinted) thermostat to see if slowing down the flow even more will help or not.
Thanks for all the input. Will post results later

END OF TOPIC.

Why the hottest thermostat?

IF you have a car that runs hot, a 190+ thermostat will take longer to open & close quicker. That will keep the car just a little bit cooler, but you still get resaonable warm-ups, heat in the winter etc.

why would a car being hot need the thermostat to take longer to open?
