Running Rich/Rough

My car smells like it's running rich and its also rough at idle. If I start it up for the first time after a day, it doesnt idle until it warms up. It's only rough at idle. It runs soo rough that I can hear my mufflers tapping the body. What should I check as the culprit?

The only two times my car has done that, it was the balancer going bad and the most recently, my MAF.

C&L took a crap on me, swapped with a ProM and now everything is fine.

Could be a number of things. I would start by checking your plugs and make sure they're not fouled. It may also be sensors like your TPS or IAC.

well thats the problem ive been having for a few weeks now. ive checked just about everything i can think of but nothing has changed.

I've swapped the MAF out twice with no change, switched the tps out 3 times, I dont even know where the IAC is unless its that sensor after the MAF and before the throttle body. If it is I've changed that out too. I just did a tune up so the plugs should not be fouled. I've got a romac balancer, Aluminum Driveshaft, steel centerforce flywheel. Running out of possibilities!!!

Put it on a computer and see what codes it is throwing.

i hear ya man....mine is still very funky. mine is very rich at idle and will every once in awhile throw a lean code at WOT. im hoping my twEECer that should be in the mail by now and at my house soon will tell me whats up and help me fix it. ive replaced most of the possible sensors, put my stocker maf on there, changed plugs, wires....blah blah...i was throwin a ton of money at it so i figured it was time to go with a tuner program. hope she works out....ill let ya know if i change somethign and it works for me so maybe you can troubleshoot from there
