Running rough

Hi all, I had an issue with my 93 notch. It was running so rough and mpg was down to 10 I had a bit of trouble in diagnosing it so I'd thought I'd throw this up just in case someone else came across the same problem The only codes that I was getting thrown were for my egr delete (Not sure if I'd recommend that upgrade) I Originally thought that it could have been my head so I did a compression check 180 on all 4 cyl. so good there but while doing the check I discovered the #3 had fouled plugs. With no real codes to work with I assumed that the injector was bad and spraying more fuel then needed so it was replaced. Still having the same problem after replacing it I was a bit frustrated. Next day I took a trip to the junk yard and pulled a coil pack just to try it out and it was the fix.
So just thought I'd post this as it could have saved me some time and $$$
