if i take my tailpipes and mufflers off will cause any problems? like heating stuff up and what not? my cars not loud enough plus the exhaust is really restrictive with it being so small sooo i figured id just run open exhaust till i get the money to get a whole new ehxhaust setup. soo is there anything i should be worried about?

1.Your car will be much louder without the pipes
2.You might get some exhaust fumes into the car
3. I've run without tailpipes and without turndowns
The exhaust does come out hot!
I had some of that black under coat on my axle and the exhaust was actually melting it causing it to spray on my rear bumber cover.
I thought it was some kind of a leak but it wasn't.
No damage to anything else

you'll lose some torque, too. it might not sound all that great, either.

dont do it. even a 4 banger sounds bad w/o a muffler. i mean you can try it, but i doubt you will like it (it is not a 'good' loud).

at least run some glass packs or something, at least for reasons like 10hole mentioned.
my two cents.

I'd say save yourself some trouble w/ cops, exhaust fumes (trust me, those are BAD. My Bronco did that), etc. Buy two Glasspacks, they're like what? $20? Maybe? Take them to an exhaust shop and have em install em. Probably cost under $100.

id rather just keep my current exhaust on then spend $100, because that could be $100 i could save for new headers/pipes/mufflers/dumps. although i think im just going to keep this exhaust on till i get a new engine and get it in

If you still have the cats on your car, taking the mufflers off won't really free up the exhaust, the cats will be the restriction.

It will sound like sh@t,( especially at 2000 rpm )you will get tickets, and you will lose all your bottom end torque.Just take the tail pipes off till you get some money. You will like the sound!!
