Hey guys so Im still trying to track down my problem of bucking issues and running like the timing is off. I was thinking it was my MSD box causing my issues, I was getting bucking at all rpms, ran and sounded like the timing was off, lots of popping out of the exhaust and RPM gauge was going crazy not matching the engine speed. I took out my MSD box, set it back up to stock and everything seemed gravy. I had taken out the distributor so I stabbed it back in, set the timing and off I went. Car was driving perfect, halfway down the road I remembered I forgot to put the spout connector back in so I went back, plugged it in, went for a drive again and all of a sudden it runs like . The power is still there but it still is bucking hard starting at like 1500 rpm and up.
So the car runs perfect with spout out, runs like crap with spout in, what can cause this? The distributor is about 6 months old and is a reman unit. I went today to go swap it out but have to wait till tomorrow for it to come in. I am hoping it is the PIP sensor inside that went bad but I wont know till tomorrow. What else besides the PIP sensor can cause this to happen?
K, well keeping my fingers crossed till tomorrow, also hoping the one I get out of the box isnt crap cause then I'll never figure it out haha. If this doesn't work I guess its off to testing pins on the computer.
