Paint and Body Rust on Wheel Well Lip

Any idea what the best fix for this would be? Rear, both sides, seems to only be on the lip as of right now. Thinking of cutting it out and welding in new. Any input is appreciated.

I might be able to help. Is there metal missing or flaking off? If not, you can feather out the rust area and repair it, but you’ll have to remove the tail lights, rear bumper cover, all quarter trims and rocker moldings for the paint work. I don’t think that is really an area you can spot in or spot paint and have it look good. Plus, it’ll be easier for you or a painter just to paint the whole panel. If it’s rusted through, you might be looking at replacing the quarter panels, and repairing the outer wheelhouses.

Of coarse replacing those are worst case scenario

Post some more pictures. Get some good light on the damage.
