My roomate wants to get exhaust done. Probably going to go cheap and get a Mac system but we live in MA so we don't want it to rust.

Are those spray can protectant products durable? High temp rust prevention stuff.

if you get the MAC long tubes, then purchase the ceramic coated tubes....goto
crmotorsports.com.... they have some on sale...it might be cheaper to have someone cut you stock h-pipe instead of buying a new one... it'll probably cost more to have them re-attach the cats back to the pipe, but at least you'll save money on buying a brand new one...i don't know if anyone is ceramic coating MAC's prochamber or not..

I personally think ceramic coating would be the best Idea. However, if you dont feel like going with ceramic coating, then purchase a few cans of Hot engine paint. Its heat resistant and will help resist corrosion. Just slap a coat on, let it set overnight, then install. Keep an eye on the coating. If it starts to flake off, just add another layer and let it set overnight before driving the car again.

Yes, the engine paint will protect against rust but ceramic coating would be better.

He won't spend $400 for a stainless steel cat back. So $180 or whatever with some high temp paint will have to do. (v6)

thanks for the input.
