Rust Removal for various parts at home with a little Sodium Carbonate and a battery charger.

it needed to be shared. spread the word! its a cheap alternative to blasting rusted parts.

Thanks. Old Chem experiments are flashing back. I wonder if it would be possible to use this rig to zinc plate the part afterwards. Gonna go do some research.

Other than making sure you have ventilation and no flame sources near by, it seems pretty safe. I would make sure I unplug the unit and let it sit for a bit, so that the hydrogen can safly dissapate. If you attempt to disconnect the clips w/o doing this you risk a spark.
