Hey guys, what do you think of this fox? Looking into buying it, has undercarriage rust, floor pans look finished. Hes asking $14k , its a 93 coupe black on black, 120k miles.

Should I take on this rust project or move on? Thank u!!

I dont know much about rust on these cars but I do know near the front shock towers is where you need to look.

Not for 14k. I'm judging by the rust at the rear sub frame and passenger foot well area, didn't get a look at the rear quarters, there may be a water leak back there, front shock towers, cowel and door jambs look good?

For 14k. Nope, some of that needs to be blasted and resprayed in epoxy at minimum. But judging by the patches of scale I would lift the carpet and check how bad they really are since it looks like its rotting from the top. This is why I avoid black cars though it's hard to tell if that's had rattle can job on the underside before but it looks like it has in the video, looks like its been sitting a long time to.

$14k for that? NOPE!

If it's got that much rust on the floor pan there is 100% for sure more rust as well in the shock towers, cowl, or door jambs.

I would check the door jams , shock towers, torque boxes... That is at BEST a $4000 car. People these days think these cars are made of gold
