Rusty clutch

Bought clutch last year and never used it. Should I trash it?

That just looks like cosmetic rust, I'd run it.

The disc is good but that clutch module, they are not that expensive, I'd run it straight to the trash.
Now that is an opinion from a picture, soooooo.
Most here know that I do some sketchy stuff but like I said, from the picture.

How rusty is the face of the pressure plate? That’s a lot of rust on the outside.

i'd run it

Rub it down with a red scotch pad and paint the main part with high temp paint. If the disc on the other side of the clutch diaphragm looks a little rust then wipe it down too. No paint on the disc. Wipe in a uniform sweep around the whole disc.

The back of the pressure plate is hardly ever seen once in the car. You could get away without painting it at all. The disc on the other side is the important part.
