I recently bought a 03 saleens/c. The pulley seems to be making a grinding noise. I contacted Ford who in return contacted saleen. They said that it was normal and just had to be broken in. I have 5000 miles on it and thought that it would have been broken in by know. Anyone have the same problem or know what to do about it?

If you have 5K miles on it, it's broken in. Have a Saleen dealer look at it. I'm not familiar with the newer blower, but that does not sound good...

Try this...Remove the s/c belt. Turn the pulley back and forth, the play should very minimal, I'd say less than .25in. If its more there could be an issue with the internal gears. Dennis G. had an issue where his s/c sounded like there were loose parts rattling inside. His pulley play was almost a 1/4 turn.
