CDC hood struts are just under $100. They are easy to install and work great.

Emblems are inexpensive. Dress up your whip with some Cobra fender emblems or a grille emblem or something.

You can get some aftermarket headlights for under $150.

I'd love the Silverhorse louvers, but that price is for unpainted. Its $324 for painted.

Painting isn't that hard to do, just find a paint match spray paint for cars, put on some coats then put on some coats of clear

I agree with you on the point of taking pride in your v6 or whatever, but I think you can do the upgrade appearance... as long as you don't go too far.

Adding a cobra emblem to the fender, I believe, is acceptable because I think it's just a sweet-looking badge. It's not that I'm trying to pass my car off as a shelby.

Now... adding the SHELBY letters to your trunk, conversely, I think is going too far. because then you're actually crossing the line and trying to pose your car as a shelby.

Long story short, I think you can upgrade the appearance of your mustang as long as you don't cross that "poser" line.

I'm proud of my GT and have kept it badged that way...as they did in '67(only have the running pony due to alignment holes, but looks very good IMO). Being I have the automatic GT, I thought it was very fitting

I'm sure the Steeda and CDC hood struts are very similar and I've never come across the others in person, but I highly recomend them The CDC struts are easy enough for a 1 person install in less than 30 minutes if you have a knowledge of a wrench or rachet and work beautifuly. They make opening and closing the hood very simple and look great!
