Anyone take their 05-06 Mustang to the track yet? I finally did today and I am really pleased! I had a lot of fun...
I decided to go to San Antonio Raceway tonight. Temp was 60 degrees. I ran the track probably 10 times tonight. My first run was bad, forgot to turn the TCS off! Waaahhhhba ba ba ba ba!!!!!!! That doesnt work, trust me

After a while my take off times were a lot better. My best was a 5.34. Most got to around 5.65. Anyways my 3 best times tonight were:
13.37 @104.48
13.38 103.90
13.45 @104.24
I was pretty consistent tonight. And I can only get better with more experience. Got noticed for consistancy and represented the new mustangs well with my low 13's times. I was the only 05-06 running tonight. Not too bad for a 06 GT Convertible with no NOS or SC and just a couple bolt-ons. This was with the stock GT rims@tires too!!! I was barking the tires all the way down into 4th gear! If I had drag tires I am sure the time would get better!!!.
What yall think? Do you have times you would like to share?

I have done the following mods...
C&L CAI and SCT Tune 93 octane
FRRP 3.73 gears
Motoblue underpulleys

The exhaust is stock but I swapped the stock mufflers with flowmaster40's.
And that is all. The convertibles are a couple hundred pounds heavier than the coupes. I did experience a lot of wheel hop, so I had to really baby it off the line to keep that from happening. Hopefully someday I will get some suspension mods (Eibach or Vogtland) to lower it down a lil bit and hopefully eliminate the wheel hop and give it more traction.
