safty loop

Can someone give me some instructions on how to install a driveshaft safty look on a 91 mustang. The instructions that lakewood gave me arent that great, like were to place it and all. If someone could give me some pointers that would be great thanks.

Close to where it mounts the tranny,no? On the other end if it breaks it ain't as dangerous anyway. That is what I figure. As long as the loop is gonna stop it from hitting the road it will work, I think.

I believe the NHRA requires no further from tail shaft than 6 inches or something like that.

It has to be within the first six inches after the trans, more or less just behind the front u joint. It is meant to contain the shaft if the front u joint breaks.

I have two of them, but cannot find the directions right now, or I would be more exact.

YES, now it does make sense. Thankyou, I knew I was a smart guy. Oh yeah, the tailshaft of the tranny I was thinking tail=rearend. Doh

does anyone have a picture of how the loop is put together like some of the parts and were the bolts go, i got the sets out and about ot drill thought the floor pan. so that would help me out alot thanks
