Saleen Blower???

Well I found a guy who's selling his stage 2 saleen blower off of his 04 Saleen with about 9k on the clock for 2 grand, good deal?? I have an 03 gt and I know it will fit my car, what all will be needed to make it work properly?? He is giving me everything, intercooler, his intake manifold etc... He is planning on getting a KB for his car. What is the stock boost on the stage 2 blower?? And what kind of power would I see with these mods...catted h-pipe, flowmaster 40's, cai, and a maf. I only think that the exhaust mods will work, anyways, please help guys I need help.

Well saleen doesn't have stage 2 blower, if it is off an 04 it should be a series IV. 2000 is a good deal, but don't expect to make huge power with it. Which is why the guy selling it is going to a KB. He will likely give you every thing you need to make it work, watch for little things like the throttle cables, and egr tube wich may get over looked. He may actually need to swap some peices with you to make his work, so keep that as an option. Also, get a custom tune. Do not use saleen tune.

Thanks man, ya I was mistaken on the year, it's not an 04 then. Its the stage 11 blower, with intercooler. What things should I be looking for when buying it from him?? He said he was going to give me his intake. At stock boost would I put down what a stock saleen does, 315rwhp?? If I upgraded the fuel pump, bigger injectors, and smaller pullye to get to 11 psi, what would I be at power-wise?? And is this safe for my 03 gt?? I'm not looking for huge numbers from just a blower, I'm still going to do bolt-ons, does this seem worth it?? I mean even if I gain 80rwhp, thats pretty good for about 2300 bucks.

When I had my series II with the smaller pulley and upgraded fuel pump I was at 335/350. If your not going for more than 360-370 rwhp it's a good choice.Very reliable blower with good torque down low.

Thanks man I appreciate it, my car is a daily driver that I drive a fair amount, I'm not looking for an 11 second drag car, just a low 12 second car that I can have fun in once in a while, so with that in mind would this be a good choice?? Also, where did you get your smaller pulley and what psi were you at??

Yea it's called the series 2 blower which uses the Eaton M90. The 03/04 Saleen's used the whipple 1.6 twin screw.

I hit 298rwhp // 322rwtq with an x-pipe, mufflers, chicane ripp kit and chip with base tune running rich. I also upgraded to the focus pump. After modding it, I got it up to 346rwhp // 340rwtq on the stock pulley. I have since swapped it out for a KB 1.7.

Chicane Sport (www.chicanesport.com) sells a pulley upgrade. Be sure to upgrade the fuel system and get dyno tuned so you aren't leaning out the motor.

For what your after I think it's a good choice.Chicane motorsports has the 66mm pulleyfor about $100.Good for 8-9 psi.You will have to upgrade the fuel pump with the pulley.I am not sure you will reach low 12's but should hit high 12's.

Well I konw I wouldn't hit low 12's with just this, but I'm getting drag radials for the summer time, and I am still planning on doing full exhaust and maybe port and polish the heads. Who knows, but I sure am excited, I just hope everything works out for the best.

Oh and one other thing, with the smaller pulley, will the saleen blower scream like the 03/04 cobra's do? ANyone have any sound clips??

They whine but not as loud. It's a bit louder than KB though.

People will know your there especially with the Chicane Ripp Kit.It whines pretty loud.
