Yea - me too. I feel a bit betrayed. Then again, I don't own a Saleen so I can't complain too much.

It is kinda strange though.

dosn't bother me really.....it's his job to work with company's and GM dished out the huge bucks to get his knowlage and help to make a better car.....Heck the guy who designed the new Camaro's is the same guy who designed the 05 mustang

Saleen has always been synonymous with Ford. It's just strange to hear Chevy and Saleen in the same sentence.

Then again, if GM gets help from Steve Saleen, Ford should go after John Lingenfelter!

Lingenfelter died a couple years ago.

This really isn't out of the ordinary, Shelby went to chrysler in the 80s and was using aurora engines in his Series 1 and I think Series 2 shelbys. Im not a big fan of any of the tuner companys, I think they are all over priced for what they are. The base saleens were in the mid $40k range in 04 and couldn't beat the $35k cobra in any way.

Well dammit - now why did he do a stupid thing like that
OK - so contract Lingenfelter Performance Engineering to release a twin turbo '07 or '08 Stang. Now THAT would be sweet!

I saw the Saleen transformers car in person at the auto hobby shop at Holloman AFB and let me tell you if he can make the camaro look that damn nice, by all means he should. I would have driven that car in a heartbeat.

saleen is much less popular than roush is with ford these days. most ford dealers wont even carry saleen stuff. personally we've had two saleens, still own one, and its an awesome car.

the first time i ever saw a Saleen S7, Steve Saleen himself was driving it. Pretty cool stuff.
