Hey Saleen S/C owners, I've noticed an odd idle noise from my engine. It sounds like a click or a tap. I asked the dealer and a guy from Saleen and he says its normal. It sounds like a rough idle, a tap, a knock or something like that. Doesn't sound normal. Anyone else have this?
Yes, I've had the noise on my 2000 S281 SC. The blower belt was hitting the water/coolant neck. Slightly turned the neck and no more noise. As far as a newer model 07-present with that noise, good luck...
+1 on anthony05gt's post. I just upgraded from the stock 24lb injectors to the 39lb injectors and definitely notice a ticking sound at idle speed that wasn't there before changing out the injectors.
