Are these cars real common? I saw a red one with the checkers on the rear part of the car...are they ultra rare? I saw one today leaving KC on I-70 towards Topeka!

Nothing on the official Ford website about a "Pace Car"

Could be a certail dealer doing these as a promotion. What race did it mention for being the official pace car?

well, there have been "Pace Cars" for Nascar races and crap. So im guessing they used it for one. Or even for a small race, they could have used one. It wouldnt be a Ford Version, but an aftermarket company of some sort.
