Is it worth $48000? I doubt it.
Top Gear here in the UK have just given the GT500 a drubbing and recommended the Roush which despite having a lot less hp, took 2 seconds out of the GT500's track time. Lighter is better and a Roush is better than any Shelby.
Has the whole world gone mad?
It's enough to make me think about buying a GM product?
With the performance capacity of the LS1, I walked away from the 05 Stang and dropped into a fully loaded 2001 TransAm. No matter what ford dealerships are askin for the gt500 and the gt, i could never "settle" for the camaro/TA. Yes they do have decent potential but still. they are just so ugly, me, id rather push a slow ford then drive a fast ugly chevy
by the huge hump in the floor on a long trip.

$48,000?????????? it will sit there for a long time at that price.
Saw my first one today up at Crossroads Ford in Cary. It was black with Navigation. List price with $51K including the Dealer Mark Up. It's basically a GT with a CDC Grille, Hurst Shifter, and California Special Bumpers and Shelby's sig. I just don't see why anyone would pay $8000 for the Shelby package.
Does it have a better suspension and engine mods? I'm thinking it probably has a CAI and Exhaust, anything else?
Apex
so YES, your absolutely right and I also don't see why anyone would pay $8000 for this package basically your just paying for the Shelby sig and nothing more.
