Well, I got a chance to see the new 05 in person yesterday at the local dealer. Unfortunately it was only the V6, but still looked everything over. Here's my review.

Exterior: Looks real good in person, but had typical Ford orange peal.
Interior: Very nice, plenty of room in the front, but even less room in back than my vert. Gauges and everything is laid out very well.

Engine: V6 sounds real throaty and virtually no room under the hood. they have sensors everywhere. Good luck relocating wires in this thing.

Overall: I give it a solid 8 out of 10. Ford stuck their neck out on this one, but I think they will sell a ton of these car.

The salesman told me it would be about 30 days until they get a GT. Can't wait to drive that.

The coolest feature on the car was that when you open the door the window drops just a hair, and when you close the door it instantly goes up to create a tight seal. I know it's kind of corny, but I thought it was cool.

I saw one at TNT last night. Red/Black, looked surprisingly good with Bullits on it. Beautiful car except the view from the rear. Why the mufflers come right to the tip of the bumper, , but it looks stupid. It did not run so I dont know what the times were. It looked great except for the rear. Much better in person than pics

Yeah there already here in FL (GT). I saw one at my local Ford dealer that I used to work for. I was speaking with one of my friends that works there(a/c tech) and we both agreed that we both do not like the no throttle body cable it's all computerized The 04 f-150 are the same no cable.

Seen a real weird dark red color here a few days ago. It was a GT and the sound was real nice. It's a good looking car. Can't wait to see a 500HP Cobra.

My wife spotted a new 05 Mustang GT here in Snellville a couple days ago. It was black and had the fog lights in the grill, so definitely not a V6. Haven't seen any 05's at the dealers around here though.

Kind of off topic, but I just saw one of the new 05 Vettes last week and a major vette dealer (Maxie Price Chevrolet) had several out front. Thought it was kind of neat looking.

Most of the dealers here are getting 1 v6 and 1 gt. I think I saw one driving a few nights ago but it was dark so I cannot be 100% sure. I dont want to go look at them, it will only make me want one that much more.

IF the girl and I are in a position to buy one we might get a cobra, her car is paid for this may and my only bill is the new DD I just bought and I am selling the Bronco to put even more down on it. So in 06 we should be good to go, if a house payment is not too much that is. The hard part will be to make a case for 2 mustangs sitting around, with 4 cars for 2 people.

Yeah my buddy was telling me that the 04 stangs had a hesitation problem where they had to reprogram ALL of them that went through the dealership. That's why I'm not too pleased with the no throttle body cable design all it takes is for it to malfunction on some poor unsuspecting soul at a red light and having the car do a major unwanted burn out in front of a cop or worse end up in the middle of an intersection in front of on coming traffic.

I got to look at a bright red one today. Just a V6, but very nice nonetheless. Looked about like a '70 model.
