No 87 here. 93 only and sometimes I have to add octane boost. But I need a new tune, so I shouldn't really chime in.

Still, at 20 cents more per gallon, if you were put in 15 gallons of 93 (aren't we only about 14 gallons?), you would be talking 3 dollars more.

If you're blown, 3 bucks ain't that much to protect your investment/s.

I'd rather buy generic mac-n-cheese which is the same, than cut back on octane.

Thats asking for trouble.Even tuned n/a cars dont like 87.Much less a blower car.

91~93 at min.Personally i run 2 gallons of 118 mixed with the rest 93.Which is about 97 .118 is a lot cheaper and works better than octane booster.

Not worth the risk.Pay the extra pennies to protect your investment. It's not worth a rebuild to save $3-$4 a tank.

No guys , your not getting me.Its not the $$ that worries me.I'm located in the "Gulf" Area. All they got here is ****ty 87 .But i seen blown GT's and Cobras and even turbocharged applications , use the same fuel and still never see problems. It says the Octane is 97.But i think the 97 here is equal to our 87 in the states!!!u might ask how i figured that out.
Well when i got my Xcal2 , i tried the 97and 93 tune , my car was pinging. But when i tried the 87 tune , the car ran fine.Although i'm pumping their "97 Octane" gas. so i figured the 97 here is equal to 87 back in the US.
so what do u all think?

i think someone mentioned that 97 octane overseas is equivalent to 91~93 octane here. But this person was refering to England not Gulf....maybe the same???
