so im getting close to be able to buy a sc in the next month or two but i have always loved shaker system but 1.will it fit with a vortech. 2. is there a way to make the shaker functional with a supercharger because it goes to the cold air it would just go to a closed pipe?

with a little bit of ingenuity you could technically make almost any type of SC fit with a CDC shaker, or 03 / 04 Mach 1 shaker setup, as long as you have a lil bit of common sense and imagination.

on second thought, i know i have read your questions before regarding trading this car for that. i remember when you traded your last stang for the current one you have. why dont you just suck it up, sell your 2v, buy a used 03 cobra and eat the dif in the payments. obviously you are still in search for the perfect car. i can tell you from experience that when i decided to re-finance my gt to put a blower on it, i could have bought an 03 cobra for the same payment, over the same period of time. i chose not to do so based on the fact that my 04 gt was basically new when i bought it, and i learned a lot by doing all of the work myself. i didnt want to just say f it and get the superior car that a - had nasty wheel hop, b - did not have the accelleration like my full bolt on gt with 4.10's.... granted, for me, hind sight is 20/20, in retrospect i feel like i was an idiot for not getting that car... it had half the mileage, it was a 4v, it was obviously ragged on a lil because it had the pulley kit on it.... the other 2 main reasons i didnt get it was because A- it wasnt sonic blue - it was silver, B - the previous owner was a smoker and I hate the smell of smoke.

i should have just sucked it up and bought the cobra, febreezed the interior, put a short throw in it, did an IRS swap for a built live axle with 4.10's and Ported and polished the eaton, then sprayed it.

the reason i am telling you this now, is because i have thousands of dollars wrapped up in my gt and i am still coming up with more i want to do with it. i refinanced to put the kennebell on it, and because of that, i have had to switch from 4.10 to 3.73's (which for all who is reading this, is practical but not as fun), put a new clutch and tob in it along with an adjustable quadrant, a ton of annonymous bs to keep the car happy... And guess what... Im bored... so... now i have a set of cams in the mail from MHS, I just put an svt focus pump with pprv delete in the car, and when the cams get here, i have to rip apart the top end of my engine to install them... then drive the car an hour away to get it tuned by a reputable tuner (which by the way cost $350)... at that point, i will be knocking on deaths doorstep with my bottom end, and i refuse to get a built shortblock just to put stock heads and cams on it.... i want an mmr 5.3 stroker modular boss block with 9:1 or so compression topped off with trickflow heads and tf specific blower cams (4k+ bottom end + over 2K for heads), then im going to spin my lil 2.1 for everything she has, then spray it with direct port nitrous injection (1k+)... obviously the 3650 cant handle that so i will have to upgrade to either a tko600 or t-56... most likely a t-56, and then my diff and axles are subject for destruction... Oh yeah, if my engine doesnt blow before july at that point I am putting maximum motorsports street strip box on the car sans flsfc's since it already has bbk sfc's on it and a set of mickey thompson et streets... i want to run 11's.

my point is that;
A - Horsepower is an addiction - - - too much horsepower is almost enough
B - That addiction is a bitch - - - the more horsepower you have the more likely you are going to break stuff that you dont want to replace
C - Alot of things that I want to do to my GT is already done to the Cobra... Granted a cobra cost way more than a gt; and you can get more horsepower from adding certain kits to gt in comparison to a stock cobra... but......... the cobra is built to handle some hp... when I added my kennebell i could out run a stock cobra all day long but.... anything past that and my internals would be thrown through the side of the block. Then think about the t-56 vs the 3650... im not even going to get in to that.

All in all; it depends on what you want. If you are satisfied with a fast street car that is fun to drive, and you are not chasing ET's or RWHP numbers, go with a supercharged GT. They are fun, I have one, and at this point I have too much money poured in to it to trade it for a cobra. Otherwise, if you are a horsepower addict, looking for that RWHP and ET time just save your money and get something that is already built to take the abuse.

Ok. I need to refill my drink. Novel is over. I hope you catch my drift. I have regrets, but at the same time I do not --- fast ass 2v's are unique. At this point i only want to make it faster... I want my 2v to eat gt-500's for dinner... only problem is that its going to take a :poo: ton of time and money for me to reach that goal. how much time and money are you willing to spend?

thats what i was thinking from the start then everyone was saying to just supercharge my car its like i can find a cobra for like 17-18k with 60k miles and cobra is so rare and unique themselves stock in my mind then once i do get more money build build build. iv put so much money in all my cars and ik that i want more and more but i was thinking why not just go for the cobra its been on of my dreams for a long time just never thought i would ever be able to buy one till the time im like 25 lol but now that i might be able to i still want to but i was thinking i have my car for sale right now if does not sell in the next few days or get a real offer im going to not sell it till like summer when people want a fast nice sports car and if i cant get the money im asking then im going to build it if i sell it im going to get a cobra or a truck and the one i dont buy then im going to buy when im like 20 have a cobra and a lifted truck my 2 dreams

Live it up while you can kid cause there will come a day of mortgage and diapers that will ruin all your fun ... err um (I just got smacked by my wife)

Definitely. My GF and I have been talking about this if we ever tie the knot. She has a little one, and although everything will be directed towards him, as long as we have a house, she has a car and the little one is setup I can play and do what I want with the extra cash.

The good thing is, is that I already have a Vortech'ed car :D

It's just the little things now I'd have to worry about. Eventual rebuild of everything. Tires and looking for a quieter DD.

Unlucky break #bradfier :)
