This should give somebody a good start:
http://cgi.ebay.com/3-MUSTANG-COBRA...QQihZ017QQcategoryZ145966QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Im debating building a model too but 99% of the kits I buy never get finished.
I dont have a new Mustang kit to start with so I might have to go to the local hobby shop. Most of my paints are dried up too.
If it didnt have to be a Mustang (understandable that it does) I couldve built a '93 Camaro or '86 Shelby Charger that Ive got unstarted.

Here's another Fox Ive never seen:

I agree... I actually just picked up the Revell 93 Cobra (the yellow 2 in 1 car) and have been doing a lot of reading. Im going to build pretty much everything custom that can be made custom. Im going to "try" headers, full exhaust, GT40 intake (maybe), probably a turbo/blower, cage, and some other custom touches. It might take me a while, but if it comes out decent it should be pretty mean!

I am going to try and make some long tubes for the car I am building. I doubt I can do as good as most of the guys on here, but this will be a fun way to pass some time.

For anyone interested, I once wrote to Revell telling them I bought kits missing some pieces and they sent me a box of 'em for just a couple bucks. I think it was like $1 or $2 per piece or just a shipping charge. Just had to give the part numbers

I used to do that. They let you get up to 10 pieces from their website. You just had to send $3.00.

Daggar- Is it possible to get a sub Forum for this? So that each participant can have their own build thread.

I think Ill open up my 93 Cobra Model that I have. Not sure what mods I will be doing though... Maybe a 5.4L lightning motor...

I've been looking all over the place for a suitable engine to swap. I'm not really into the idea of just using a stockish EFI 302...i wanna do something pretty race oriented and as you can probably guess i'm all about carbed engines, especially with model cars since they're just plain cooler looking. I've got this big block out of an old model but it won't fit inside the engine bay...i went to Walmart looking around for parts models but i try to stick to a model that i'll eventually build since it sucks to pay 12 bucks for a model just for the engine.

That sounds about right. I remember I ordered all the Cobra specific body parts I could and it came out to just a few bucks.

The fun thing about these is that they are plastic......make the engine fit in there.

I went to Walmart earlier and they had a few Mustangs but none that I really wanted. They had the '93 Cobra, '92 convertible Lowrider, '70 Boss, Mustang II prostock, and '68 Shelby GT500 and another Shelby.

I went to the local hobby shop that used to have tons of kits for good prices. Now they only sell a handful of kits and theyre overpriced. I used to buy kits there for $5 a few years ago on clearance. Now their kits are $13+. The only Mustang they had was the AMT '65 coupe and thats a POS kit. Its got metal axles that go thru the block and alot of molded in details.
