Scarebird Disc Conversion And Other Brake Questions

Has anyone done a drum to disc brake conversion using Scarebird brackets lately?

I did the 4 lug conversion a couple of years ago using his brackets.

I am thinking about do it on a 65 Coupe with an I6 and auto transmission. I want to stick with the 4 lugs so I do not have to change the rear end.

If you do the 4 lug conversion you don't have to change the rear, it already 4 lug.

A couple of other questions;
Should I install a power booster on the brakes?

I stayed with manual brakes, not hard at all.


Do I need a proportioning valve? When would one need a proportioning valve?

Some say they do and some say they don't, I would install one.


Can I use the Scarebird bracket to change the back drums to disc brakes?

I don't think they will work on the 7.5 rear end in the I6.


What else should I be considering?

Installing a duel bowl master cylinder.
