Ok as many of you know i have been looking for another fox mustang for a while now. Anyway I found one I really like, I have been wanting an 87 with t-tops for a while now and since they are rare I have had difficulty finding one.

I realize this car is in rough shape, however I doubt ill find another with t-tops like this in the color I want with the mods I want, for a long time. Let me be clear this is meant to be a project car.

So I would like you guys to point out everything you notice about this car that you think is a problem/ could be a problem/ looks ghetto rigged etc etc...

Here is what the guy said when I asked him a few questions about the car,
The T-tops do leak they need new seals. The interior also needs the the headliner. The carpet has been replaced with black and the rear carpet also. I would give the interior a 7. The seats are 79 pace car recaro seats that are good seats, they have been reupholstered black. The car has no rust at all the car has been in florida its whole life, I checked the vin from Ford. The car also has a nice stereo with a 10 inch subwoofer in a custom enclosure (I laughed when i read this, the custom enclosure looks like ****. The car has not been wrecked and the body is in very good shape. The body has a cobra body kit on it. The hood is from cerviena (not wild on the hood but oh well it could be worse.he motor has long tube headers and full exhaust. The motor is not the orginal, I was told it has 60,000 miles on it (obviously there is no way to prove this. The motor runs great, the trans shifts great. The car also has an aluminum driveshaft and 2.73 gears (i think he meant 3.73. The car handles great, it could probably use new bushing but it has great springs and shocks. The wheels are chrome ponies but they are flaking on the inside of the wheel.

Based on what he said and the pictures included, do you think the car is worth 3k cash???

Looks nice....3k is good/bad depending on your area. Around here there's such a huge market and the selection is so thick that you can't ask too much or you won't sell. I'd say personally if it doesn't have ANY rust and you do a thorough inspection of the front end/core support and make sure it hasn't been in any collisions, it's not a bad deal. If it's rusted anywhere i'd pass for 3k.

Ya know I really like it! Great project car as alot of the inside plastic in the rear looks shot and I would get rid of all the red anyway:shrug: I really like the front seats and overall if I had the cash I would jump on it in a heartbeat. I love the aero T's and you dont see many of them. Some TLC and a little work and that would be a very sweet ride. I sold my 92 hatch last year in about that shape just better interior plastic for over double that, so sounds like a deal even with transport to here.

Edit: I see it has mass air conversion :nice: Could not quite tell, does it have the 85 or the 140 speedo in it? Itd be nice if they swapped that already too. I think I have a 91 cluster, I know the Tach dont work nor does the fuel gauge but cant just the speedo be changed? If so its yours.

I am glad you finally found a decent one. I was hoping you wouldnt settle for a lesser car and regret it.

If you buy it, I'm interested in the sub amp. It's a PPI Sedona Art series. Let me know if you want to sell it when you get it and if so, how much and what model it is.

The Art Series Amplifiers were considered some, if not the best amplifiers of their time, and still outperform many of their modern rivals.
Specifications:
150 X 2 @ 4 ohms, 300 X 2 @ 2 ohms, or 600 X 1 @ 4 ohms bridged.

This is one bad amp. these amps were among the most underated and cleanest amps of the 90s.

They still bring good cash on ebay too.

wow! i might keep it then

3k would be a fair price in my area at least. if you could get it any lower thats icing on the cake. The car needs some work to be pristine, but I've seen a hell of a lot worse project cars, and I wouldn't be ashamed to take your newly acquired "project" out for dd duty if needed/wanted.

well the guy decided he wanted 3900 for it, theres no way im paying that, heres the ebay link to it, the paint was terrible and its just not worth 3900 imo

Anyway so tomorrow im going to look at this one, i think i can get him down to 3500
