i read somewhere they were a little stiffer an the cobra springs were a little softer. its supposed to make the softer springs achieve the same grip. they said fords theory was since the cobra was more, older people would be the ones buying them an wanting a softer ride. don't know how accurate this is but it was in a magazine.

Well i went and looked at the gray one yesterday and it was a piece of ****. The paint was nice on the outside but the engine bay was still white, as were the door jams. The interior was completely shot to **** and the motor ran like crap. For some reason it would start to backfire after about 3500rpms and act like it was running out of fuel and bog...He told me he would take 3 for it but I figure I can find a nicer one for the same price...

At this point im really starting to get frustrated, finding a clean not-ragged out fox is going to be a little more difficult than i anticipated...

Keep looking - it took me over a year to find a car that I was completely happy with for the price, and that was 5 years ago. You're doing good by not jumping on a car just because it's the body style you like. Eventually, you will find a car that works for you.

To me the T-top is nice enuff to warrent $3900 (just my opinion, doesnt have to be anyone elses) but why did you think you could get it for 3K? Was it advertized for lower then he jacked it up? That would piss me off enough to walk away I sold my 89 GT with a messed up d/s door and fender from an accident for $3500, and sold my 92 LX/GT conversion for $7500 and was not much better than that other than PP Typhoon intake. I like it and it is a project car that is starting with a real nice foudation, not that I can afford JS right now but if I was in the market and had the cash I would buy it.

I guess it was the interior that I didn't like, It brings back images of my old 91...I want to fix something up but i don't want to spend all my money fixing stupid crap like center consoles, shifter boots, door handles, gauge clusters etc etc like i did on my last fox

The interior on the t-top car looks like crap. I would rate it a 3 out of 10. It's mismatched and not clean at all and missing parts.

Interiors make or break me on cars. When i drive around, it's what i will see all the time.

I would pass just based on that.

yeah but the interior is the easiest to fix and make how you want.
Its got nice seats already in it. Order up a black carpet and dye the door panels, remove the carpet at the bottom and just put some vinyl. Start cleaning everything and dying it . go grab some billet on ebay and driess it up. I mean the stuff can be had for so cheap, i would never let a messed up interior distract me from a car. Rust and drivetrain are th only things that concern me. Hell i paid 2200 for this car. and she aint perfect but she is rust free and is making a sick platform for my mexican block 347 stroker.

Here's my door panels that i pulled out of a stang with a mint red interior. I dyed these myself and they will be fine for me until i find some original black ones that want. I cleaned them with acetone then sprayed them took a emery cloth to them when i was done. You can run you nail across them and they dont scratch. I bought 2005 mustang door sill plates and attached them to the panel for a custom touch. I love them.

And the whole rest of my interior is dyed as well. heres pix

i guess the make or break for me is the fact that im looking for something I can use as a daily driver, it wasent just the interior that turned me off of the gray one it was the fact that it ran like ****, If the interior had been nice and it ran like crap then maybe I could have justified buying it, or vice versa if it ran good but the interior was **** I would have bought it, it was the combination of both that turned me off from it
