So I have a 99 gt and my uncle has a 05 gt we are both puting in gears. And we are wondering if we can buy one sct tuner so the speedometer reads correctly and still get the free tunes for the cars. Or do we both have too buy tuners? Thanks in advance!
Each tuner is married to the specific computer of each car, which is why they as for the computer code. They would lose quite a bit of business if one tuner could work on multiple cars.
So, to answer your question, no. You need one tuner per vehicle.
Actually the SCT SF3 I have will handle up to 5 tunes. But you would have to keep the tuner in a place where you could both get to it when needed. Another alternative would be a switch chip.
So can we buy one and use it on both out cars? Or can we buy a different tuner that will do that. I don't really need the tunes for life because I'm hopping next winter I can put together a supercharger kit so I will be bringing it to get dyno duned then
