don't know....but you should have said you took it off to get you wallet. I have done that once and it worked. They asked why aren't you selling your seat belt. I said oh dam I just took it off to get my wallet and never even thought about.......he said fair enough.

Wear your seatbelt, far better off wearing it and it will cost you less money and hassle

FIGHT IT!!! Tell them to PROVE you weren't wearing it. Say you took it off to get your wallet. They have dashboard cameras, ask them to show it. They will probally convict your anyways, because traffic court judges are given a list of what to convict for and where it is acceptable to violate the constitution.

I love laws designed to protect you from yourself and laws for what you don't do. It's all about money, that is all they want, and they have decided to rob the american people to get it. Nothing more than common thugs, but they have a lawbook instead of a switchblade.

this guy was a dick. he was stuck at a light. it took him some time to catch up so i hurry up to mcdonalds park got out of the car and he pulls up behind me and tells me to get back in the car. the point is i was out of the car he pulled up behind me and then turn his lights and told me to get back in the car. he took my liceness as bond cause i wasnt going to give him any money. now for a 50.00 dollar ticket he took my drivers licences as bond and on the ticket it said no court apprence required. what gives

WTF why would you have to give a cop money? And why would he take your license? sounds very shady.

Around here you dont have to pay the ticket right when you get it. You usually have 30 days or so.

In ill when you get a moving violation they take your licence Till you pay your ticket, if you pay it by mail they'll mail it back. Just go to court, you can pay a few bucks more and they'll put you on probation for 3 months and if you don't get a ticket they take it off your record

The penalty for sex offenders is the same in California and the Northeast.

Big penalties for small crimes, small penalties for large crimes.
