seat cover options

Does anyone know of a quality set of (slip over) seat covers that look / fit / stay in place good for a fox vert?

OR

Has anyone recovered the seats themselves?

I have cracking leather that I want to change. It is the center seat part only, but being white, having a shop replace just that and match is not very likely.

Thanks

I had some faux-leather seat covers made by Bell that I slipped on mine for a few months. I've still got 'em in the closet now, but I took 'em off because pleather + Arizona sun = sweaty arse. They felt just as cozy as true leather seats, and they're pretty thick material, really durable stuff, and they're easy to clean. I think I paid somewhere around $30 for the pair - they're black with white stitching, but the other day at Target I saw an identical set with black stitching (looked better) for a tad cheaper.

Checker Auto and (I think) Advance Auto carries some true leather seat covers that look pretty quality, and they've got some little storage pockets under the front seat area, but they're kinda pricey - about $50 per seat, IIRC.

As far as recovering, I wouldn't recommend trying it, yourself - takes a bunch of specialized tools to do it up right, usually. Paying someone else to do it can either be really cheap or ungodly expensive, depending on where/whom you go to for it; folks down here usually just hop over the border to Mexico and get their whole interior redone for some insanely cheap price, like $300 for everything, and they actually do some nice work.

Personally, I'd either stick with slip-on seat covers, or just shop on eBay or the boneyards for a used set of seats out of a 94-'03 Mustang. You can nab a nice set of leather seats for half of what you'd pay to have yours re-covered.
