Me and my friend (has a 94 v6 stang) are in the middle of swapping out his front and back seats from a 2001 ( there the black and gray leather ones) we got the passenger side in and the back seat in but we have a problem with the drivers seat, his stock seat was a power seat and it used a 2 wire plug and the seat from the 2001 has a 4 wire plug. Is there an adaptor or something we can buy or how would we wire it up so it will work?

I don't know, but you could probably figure it out with a little trial and error. You probably have a 12 volt and ground wire coming in. I assume there are two motors, each with a power and ground wire. Just get some electrical connectors and connect the three ground wires together and connect the three power wires together and see if that doesn't work for you.

I just did a similar thing for a 95 GT and 2001 seats yesterday. There is a 4-pin connector in the old seats that fits the connector in the new seats, but it is already hooked up to a moter in the the old seat. What I did was to cut off the four-pin connector I needed from the old seat and the two-pin connector that hooks up to the floor in the car and make an adapter wire with these two pieces. On the four-pin connector, there are two grounds and two powers, so just make sure you have all the black wires together. This worked great.

Also, I want to point out that I had a Haynes manual and it had nothing about the power seat wiring diagram. The local Ford dealer also did not have a part number for the part you are looking for.

It might be easier to go to Radio Shack and get some kind of male/female wire connectors. You just need something that can easily be plugged and unplugged.

Here's a diagram from the 04 Service manual. Hope this helps.

The plug coming from the floor has a all black wire (the power) and a black wire with a white stripe (the ground right). The 2001 seat plug has 1 black wire and 3 green wire going to it I think. So black goes to black and green goes to black with white stripe? Just making sure. Thanks alot.

That's the way I did it: Black to Black, Black w/ White Stripe to Green.

Not sure, the one I was working with had two black, but I would assume your assumption is correct.
