About a year after I got my 66 I was given new front seat upholstery for the front buckets as a present. I lost them between moves and 15 years later I found them in the garage. They have been in the box since then. I still have to buy the back seat upholstery but I'm wondering if the materials will match. Should I chance it and just buy the back seat material or just buy a new complete set?

That is a bit of a risk. If they are standard seat covers you can buy a whole new set for $200. For me--it would depend on what color it is. If it is basic black, I would take the chance and buy the back seat only. Any other color and I probably would buy the set. Does the back seat really need recovering or could you re-use it? If the back needs replacing you could always e-bay the fronts you have and just buy a new set.

They are being held together with duct tape right now, ripped, and fadded from sitting out in the sun. They are in bad shape. They are the standard blue bucket (non-pony). I also got new foam for both fronts.

I can order just the back for like $125 or the whole set for around $175
I guess it makes since to just spend the $50 and get a matching set.
