SEAT WEIGHT - GT vs LX stockers

Just a quick bit of curiosity, since I'm shopping for seats at the moment. Which seat weighs more: the GT halo-headrest style, or the standard/base LX seat? (Both manual seats, of course.) ... or is the weight difference negligible?

I was thinking of swapping in some later-model units, but I don't want power seats and the newer ones likely weigh a bit more than the halo-headrest seats I've already got in place. I'd figure the LX ones might weigh more because they're more cushy, but the GT trim 'Stangs weigh so much more with their added options that I wonder if the difference in seats might play a role...?

from what i have read, there is roughly a 20 pound difference between escort GT seats and stang GT seats. might be worth it to look for those on ebay or something if you are that worried. Seats from summit would be very light as well.

True, but I can't even buy one Summit seat for the price of what a pair of OEM seats usually run. Didn't know about the Escort seat option, though. I'm assuming those are the pre-91 models you're referring to, right? (Before they shared a platform with Mazda.) Is it pretty much a straight-over bolt-in swap like with the late-model seats, just a matter of swapping brackets?
