Hey I was curious as to what seats you guys perfer in your mustangs? My current seats are beginning to fall apart, so that gives me the possibility of putting new front seats in eventually. So I was thinking of putting in some seats where I actually stick to them when I take a corner at good speeds, instead of me sliding all over. Cal-Mustang was offering some nice racing seats at one point for $200 a pop, but they no longer carry them, so I need to look into other ideas. Does anyone have anylinks to any places with some nice Stang seats? Mustangs plus and Mustangs unlimited have different seats, but I do not think they would look very nice in my car. Or if possible would you guys mind posting pics up of your custom front seat setup?

Also, I have a question about buying headers and exhuast. I know some places have full kits already put together, but I wonder if they are worth the money. That and I always wonder if the headers would hit my power steering. http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchan...MPFMP&Product_Code=08604&Category_Code=exkits this is an example of the presetup exhaust kits mustangs plus sells. Have any of you bought your exhaust setups this way? Or do most of you go to custom exhaust and muffler shops? And from you experience is X or H pipe the way to go?

Any input is appreciated =]

Summit has some decent-looking sport seats now for 200 each. A 65 stanger has installed them, that I know of, and likes them OK.

I have never gotten a 'full' kit thru the mail because they dont know what might be in the way of their 'standard' kits. I get headers, install, and head to my local exhaust shop.

H and X-pipes are a matter of personal taste. I like H pipes, others swear by the X. If you are running a daily driver, its not going to make any diff between the two in performance.

I have some Recaro LS series seats from early 90´s in my 66 with aftermarket seatrails. The ones I have were installed afterwards to one BMW, but they are standard in Some cars like Cosworth Sierra´s or M3 bmw´s. They may be hard to find in US, but with no adoupt, Recaro makes best seats for cars. They have strong structure and with little effort to upholstering them, they are as good as new. Mine cost 700 e (850 dollars), and were as good as new. Private me your e-mail and I´ll post some pics.

I have a set of seats from Procar by Scat that I love. The car is used mostly for Open Track (kind of like road racing, but not really competitive) and I wasn't concerned with keeping a vintage look - I wanted to stay in one place.

Here's a pic of mine (it's a big pic, so I put a link instead of the pic).

Procar doesn't make this exact model any more, but they make a similar model (Rave 2000 - just get it in black - not neon yellow!). Another great option is the Rally seat. I've ridden in those and they do a pretty good job of holding you in place, plus they look great in these cars.

If I ever make the change over from stock, I would likely seek out a set of those great Fiero seats with the speakers built into the headrest. I would have the redone in leather with a pattern simillar to the stock look. I think for a convertible the head rest speakers will come in handy.

If you go the route of swapping from one car to another as opposed to new, just be sure to keep all your original hardware. You will need it still, ven if you pull seats from a Fox body or SN95.

Just for refrence, here is a picture of my current interior. It needs some work still. i changed out the head liner before I got it painted, thats about the newest thing I have done for the interior. Just curious, does any place sell new center consoles? Mine is in need of a replacement or substitution.

I should probably take some new pics of my car including the interior, and get some opinions.
