I've seen the kit for the complete sequential tail light system but I don't like how it also causes your brake lights to act sequentially as well. I think the sequential turn signals look great and are a nice touch. I have seen the kit functioning on another stang in front of me one day and with the brake lights also hooked up to it made it very confusing, especially when the he stepped on his brakes and had a blinker on at the same time. Not to mention that it is also illegal here in NJ. I would just plan on changing it back for inspection however. Does anyone know if they can be used just on the blinkers and not the brake lights like the older stangs from the late 60s/70s?

It sounds to me like that guy just had them hooked up wrong. Ive never seen any kit that makes the brakes sequential as well.

Webelectric makes a piece that let's you bypass the sequential brakes IIRC. Although I had them on my old 97 and I think they only cycled once when you pressed the brake pedal, then stayed on like normal.

yeh when the guy i saw hit the brakes they cycled once and stayed "steady on" while he had his foot on the brake. I'd still rather just go with the turn signals. Thanks, I'll check out those links.

They are good and easy to install the price is bad to.

I also bought that kit about 2 months ago, really like it.Have gotten a few compliments on it.I initially was going to buy a kit off ebay and decided to search the internet to see what else was out there and found the kit at meter4it.
Can change a jumper to set them to standard, sequential or chase.Nice kit.
As far as brakes on this kit, when you hit the brake they sequence on,stay solid and when you release it they chase outward to off.

I think the 'chase' pattern is cool.
Yeah, I hadn't seen that before:nice:

Trueblue- The hardest part is installing the flasher, not much room under the dash:p Splicing the wiring wasn't too bad, my instructions weren't too clear on some parts so I just went by the pictures.

So with a blinker on to say.... the left and you are at a stop. What is the tail light on the right doing?

http://www.meter4it.com/96-04_Mustang.htm There are some videos there of the various modes of operation.

i have them and my brake lights work in sequence too...i kinda like that, somethin different...the brake light sequence happens faster than the blinker sequence, so its not all that distracting or confusing...ill see what happens when i go to inspection next june :(
