you cant install while at the car outside.
just take the taillights out and do it inside.
and the install is pretty easy.

Depends on who's kit you have but if you pull the taillights you can do the wiring inside then reinstall and test out side. Test before and after the lights are mounted. Wiring shouldn't take more than an hour for the unexperienced, less if you like playing with wires.

There's a pic posted on my web page of one tail light assembly with the Web Electric Products sequential module wired, and ready to be remounted on the car ('03 GT).

I used the same approach recommended by the two members above. Do the wiring inside where it is nice and warm.

It enables the middle most light so all 3 work.

Took me half an hour, it was really easy.

Depending on which kit you get, yeah.
Mine from webelectricproducts.com does, I think sequentialtaillights.com charges for the module to light up the 3rd light.

webelectric products, I wouldn't get it from anywhere else. You get a great product, great customer service, and a mint to suck on while you're installing

The hardest part was trying to get the knee bolster off to access the module ... here's a picture of my very frustrated son trying to take that thing off ... and then we figured out that we could get to the module without taking the bolster off!!

I didn't take the knee bolster off on mine. I pulled a move from the Matrix to get the flasher out.

Install is easy, don't need to remove the knee bolster, and yes take the assemblies inside to work on. I did the first light outside in the garage and my fingers went numb My instructions from WebElectricProducts weren't clear on splicing and RE-CONNECTING, I had to go by the pictures after the lights were not sequencing. Just make sure that after you splice a wire into the quick connector and the pigtail that you connect it back into the wire you cut. You'll know what I'm talking about when you do it. Basically it's harness clip from car to pigtail back to wires running to the lights. And don't worry about messing up the quick connects. Some of mine didn't hold and once you clamp it you can't "reset" it. Just get some electrical tape or more wire nuts and you'll be good to go. I put mine in yesterday (xmas present) and I love em. Very inexspensive, very trick
