whats up guys, i had a quick question about how to run my serpentine belt on my 88 notchback, i removed the smog pump and when i tried a 76" belt the belt tensioner would make the belt rub against each other on the way up from the water pump, i dont know if i shoul run the belt with a different pattern or get a smaller belt or just get rid of the tensioner, thanks in advance:SNSign:

Do not get rid of the belt tensioner. You'll have problems keeping enough tension on the belt to run your accessories efficiently. Try going to an autoparts store and try smaller belts.
