My service engine soon light came on the other day and it sometimes has trouble starting on the first try. But it always starts on the second try. It feels like the engines is a little hesitant and it sounds like the car is whining slightly. I'm guessing it a bad plug, is that a likely cause? I'm going to go get a diagnostic test done, but just wanted to get some ideas before hand. Thanks for any help.

Go to Autozone and get the code read. Was it starting good before the
light came on?

The code should give you the answer, I dont think there is a code for
a bad spark plug although.

It will throw a code for a bad COP or dead cylinder. Dirty MAF?

P0340 -- Camshaft Position Sensor

OK, I went to Autozone and had a diagnosis done and found out its a trouble code P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor. I've looked this up in other posts and found out a common problem is the alternator. Plus that may explain the whining sound coming from the engine. Well it looks like it time for a new alternator. Thanks for the help guys.
