It's just so insanely outlandish -- at least a week's worth of work and several grand in parts in 14 hours? Yanking an engine, basicaly totally rebuilding it, reinstalling, plumbing, and getting it running again in 2.5? I can't imagine even the scummiest of ripoff artists trying to pull off a story like that.
