Has anyone here upgarded your speakers on your shaker 1000? I changed the head unit so I can have blue tooth and ipod. I heard some good aftemarket speakers would make the sound even cleaner.

What size are the speakers and subs on the shaker 1000?

The trunk subs are 10", but not sure about depth Almost any aftermarket speaker will sound better than the OEM speakers. Alpine and Kicker make decent speakers for the rest of the system.

JL Audio is the way to go. Stock Door and Deck speakers are 5X7 / 6X8's and the door woofers are 8". Get the JL coaxials JL W0's and a good amp. Your system will kick ass

At least it's more erect and not floppy anymore.

I had a Sound Stream complete system in my old stang and that thing hit hard. Knocked some things loose in the car I'm thinking about selling the whole kit though, not sure if I want to let it go

JLs speakers are little expensive, I would go with Alpine. You can get a value with them.

I just amplified the stock Shaker 1000 speakers and that alone made it 100X better
