Funny how I was going to say the same thing of my shipyard. Not quite swing, but a sawyer or TWO will be needed. Damn, no welding experience huh? 10000+ hours and counting here. And I still pay orbital union dues!![]()

There is a precision sheet metal fab shop in wilsonville called Integrated Metal Components. They got Amada Brakes, a turret or two, and a laser. The better shop is Crystal Light in Tualatin. They got all amada stuff and they pay better. It's a big shop with lots of turrets, lasers and brakes, and an onsite plating facility. I almost went to work there, but I decided to become an electrician instead. What do you specialize in? I got about 5 years precision Fab too. I was a brake operator, then QA, then dept mgr. I love the stuff.
Crystal light has a 3rd generation Apelio with a sheet feeder. Really nice setup. Go talk to them they are really nice people.
What shop did you learn at? Guessing by the Oregon O, maybe Superior Steel in Eugene? That was where I got my start.
