Im putting an order in tomorrow mourning to 50resto.com for a cobra hood, bumper, headlights and foglights. My body shop guy told me he recomends the sheetmetal hood over the fiberglass.

He told me that they warp and fitment is an issue.

Anyone know what 50resto's reputation is for their hoods are. Im sure they get them from someone else. But any opinion is welcome.

And Im not gonna go through abc exclusive or something like that because 50 resto has a sweet deal goin for the whole package.

BTW here's some before pics.

Well I just went on the website to look into it some moor and I now realize the the 96-98 cobra hood is under the sheetmetal hood section and isn't in the fiberglass section.

So I guess my questions now is, Is 50resto a good company. And do our cars come with sheetmetal or fiberglass hoods. My buddie was surprised to see that I had a fiberglass hood?

All stock mustangs have fiberglass hoods...but they still have sheet metal supports so the weigh like 25-35lbs....i would just stay with fiberglass unless you can afford the saleen heat extrator... then go carbon fiber.
