I did a search and learned as much as i could but all of the threads ended up no where. So i read that B&M is kind of crap? So Im assuming that i go with TRANSGO. Also, what setting should i put it on. Normal or hardest shift? This is my daily driver yada yada yada so somewhat comfort has to be kept in mind. Also, what the price to install one of these things. Thanks alot for answering this beaten topic. Hey, i could of posted asking what kind of gears to get....

edit: one more thing. when i install the shift kit. i can still put the car in drive and have the thing shift through all the gears like normal right. cause i dont want to be shifting manually 1-2-d every time. i have a 1995 gt aode

i bet the guys will have a lot of answers for you, but just in case: if all else fails, might try PM'ing Mustang John. super nice guy with a nice stang. he runs a trans shop and has some of the most informative slushbox answers on the fox tech side.
good luck.

I bought mine with a shift kit already in it. I do not know much about them but the guy said if there was a local speed shop that we could get it fixed to shift like a 5spd. The car already shifts pretty hard and I don't know how it is set up. I just put it in drive and I do not have to do the shifting manually.

I'm pretty sure the tweecer will be able to prevent you from hitting the rev limiter. I'm not too sure about the speedometer correction. Also, have you thought about installing a transmission cooler before you get a shift-kit? It would really help pro-long the life of your transmission. Just my $.02.

Let me know how you like the kit when you get it. I think a shift-kit and tranny cooler is going to be one of my next mods.

I would not go with Transgo if I were doing any kind of shift kit again. I would either go with the "Jerry Mod" or, to keep it really easy, get a new valvebody from Performance Automatic or Art Carr. Also, you should ABSOLUTELY get a trans-cooler-B&M's 24,000 gvwr Supercooler is a good one.

The Tweecer won't be able to correct the speedometer since the speedo has it's own little closed off system. I used the Dallas Mustang Speedcal to correct mine for the 4.10's. I've been driving it for more than a year with these gears without reprogramming the computer and it's been fine, but I don't push it much and mine came with 3.27's.

As far as I can tell, they have the best price on PA valvebodies.
