Shift light install question

My autometer shift light flashes when I turn the key, but doesn't light up when I hit the predetermined rpm. What wire does the green shift light wire need to be hooked to?


It's on the capri.

You want to hook the shift light signal wire to the negative side of the coil, green wire. Don't splice it in, you want to use butt connectors to wire it in.

If you have an MSD ignition box, you NEED to wire the shift light signal wire to the tach output ON the MSD box.
