If i buy this View attachment 483377 do i just connect it to the negative of the coil and to a pwr source?

i'm not sure but some shift lights you need get a window switch.

heres the summit link:

it says you need one. plus you need pills to adjust what rpm you want it to turn on.

if i were you i would just get a Raptor shiftlight or a Harlan. there small, so you can put them anywhere but very bright. also 3 wires only to hook up

i have this one from stewart warner

and it was only 3wires. the MSD ones may be different

wel i got this one View attachment 483153 its a summit shift light
it was 30 bucks but i had a 10 dollar gift thing i got form them and it was only 20 bucks. i dont think summit would sell crap. and if it is its only 20 bucks

I ordered a pretty similar one. Does that one have the dial on the back or do you have to put a pill in it?

yeah thanks i was looking for that link but i forgot were i had seen it, and yes it has the rpm's in the back so no pills required.
