Shifter Linkage

I have a 69 Mustyang with a C6 transmission, replacing an FMX. Does anybody have any idea which shift linkage will work?

You can probably make the FMX rod work, but if it looks like a pain, just buy a 69 C6 rod.

Was your C6 a floor shifted car, or column?

You must have the proper shift lever AND rod to make this work. The shift lever is installed when the tranny is apart. The rod is being reproduced but AFAIK the shift lever is not and you have to find a used one.

I had to use one of these. It was probably the worst swap I have dealt with.
