Just finished putting my t5 together. Turns on which is great! Except it won't go into any gear except 4th and reverse, and when you put it on reverse it makes a grinding noise. Literally you can't push it into the gear, but if the car is off then you can put it into any gear. Stumped and a little sad. Anyone have an idea on what's up?

I know nothing about the inside of the trans, but it could be that your clutch is way out of adjustment.

Messed with it today, turns out the the throwout bearing wasn't in right.

Stuck my hand into the bell housing hole and it was backwards. Not sure how I managed that, took everything off and put back together and it works.
