I realized what the problem was with my shifter. I posted a while back that the button wouldn't go in when going from park to any other gear, but it went in when going from any gear (ie drive) to another gear. I said that I had to use two hands to push it in.
Well apparently the car isn't registering that I am pushing the brake when i want to take it out of park. I tried pushing it in with two hands without hitting the brake at all and it went in with the same amount of effort as it does when I hit the brake, leading me to believe the car isn't registering that I am pressing in the brake.
So my question is, where does this problem lay...I checked the fuses and none of them seem to be fried...I have no idea where else the problem could be. I am assuming I am going to have to take it into a mechanic so he can run a diagnostic on it. But if anyone knows that this is a quick fix that I can do myself, please let me know...thanks in advance.
