Shifter trans fill??

ok so im gonna remove my shifter to change my trans fluid but i was wondering how will i know when its full. should i just pour it in untill it tops off or is the fill plug set a little lower than the top of the trans?? and sorry for another trans fill post...i tried to search but didnt really find anything.

put in the recomended amount of fluid, I think it is 4 qts but you should remove the fill plug and fill untill it just dribbles out.
If you fill it up you will have one hell of a mess on your hands and probably blow the trans up.

The best way to go about it is useing a hand held
pump to pump the transmission fluid in there.You will know because it
will start coming out of the plug hole.Just take your time man and you
will be fine.I used Royal Purple syncromax the last time I changed my
transmssion fluid and I am very happy with it.
