shifter's vibrating really bad

once i get up to 85 or 90 my shifter will vibrate like crazy. in gear it happens pretty bad, but once i put it in neutral it'll go nuts. can someone tell me whats wrong? im putting in a new tranny and dont want this to be a problem

feeling your pain

wish i had a solurion for ya, mine is doing the same thing. I just put a Steeda Tri-Ax on and once I hit about 75-80....man lots of vibration. I believe its one of those, we'll have to live with it things.

I can't help ya either never seen that before mine never vibrates except idling cause the whole car is shaking from the cam lol.

but here's a bump to keep ya at the top.

Its the driveshaft, I had the same problem with mine. Got a new aluminum driveshaft and it cured all problems. It rides extremely smooth, now if you get the ALM DS you'll get added strength and its aluminum. Can't get better than that.

Ditto. I had the same problem at one time. Aluminum driveshaft cured it. From what I've heard the factory driveshafts have an internal packing that deteriorates over time and throws it out of balance. Never saw the packing cause I never cut one apart.
